Portland Pediatric Speech Therapy
Portland Pediatric Speech Therapy was founded by Susan Bahadori M.A., CCC-SLP. Susan holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is licensed to practice speech-language therapy in the state of Maine and Virginia. Susan also holds a Certificate of Graduate Study in Literacy from the University of Southern Maine and a Certificate of Graduate Study in the Impact of Trauma on Learning from Lesley University.
Susan received her Bachelor's degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences and her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland in College Park. She has worked in the field of pediatric speech-language pathology since 2009. She has experience working with children 18 months-18 years and young adults, as well as their families and caregivers.
Susan previously worked in Washington, DC at the Lab School of Washington where she gained extensive experience working with children with language-based learning differences and often dyslexia. As a result of this, she has a unique understanding of how language, learning, and literacy interact and impact a child's learning profile. She has also worked for the public schools in Maine where she has gained a great understanding of Maine public school special education and the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process. She has experience working with a wide variety of populations, families, and other specialists.
Susan uses a unique, collaborative, and holistic approach and believes it is essential to work closely with families, other professionals, and caregivers to provide exceptional treatment to her clients.
